Chickenlegs Pomodoro

I have for a longe time wanted to try cooking in a Crockpot, so whne my duaghter heard about it she told me I could borrow theirs and try it out. So this Christmas I got to borrow it, a loan for 6 months and I’m so happy cause I know this will trigger my cooking again after a standstill without little or less creativity.

So this is my first try and it came out really good, I might tweak it a little next time, find out how later on in my receipt

Chickenlegs Pomodoro


4 Servings preperation time 15 minutes

Ingridients
3-4 Chickenlegs (frozen)
2-3 Red Onions
4 cloves of garlic
1 can of chrushed Tomatoes
2 tablespoons of oil
2 coffeespoons of chickenbrot powder or one cube
1 coffespoon of dried basil
1/2 coffespoon of Black pepper


Chop the onions, don’t make it too small let it give some texture.
Chop the garlic
Mix the tomato with the chopped onions, garlic, oil and the spices

Put some of the mix in the bottom of the crockpot
Lay the chicken in layers in the crockpot with some of the mixture in between
finish of with the remaining mix on top of the last on

Put the crockpot in the high setting for one hour, then turn it down to the low for an additional 4 hours
check after that time if the meat is falling of the bones

Lift up the chicken on a plate and scoop up some of the tomato/spice mix and serve it all with Burglur

Tip: The remaining boot you can use as a base for a soup.
